This Unit Standard is intended for learners, within the quality management system, who need to understand how the legal system operates in the country and the broad regulatory framework within which quality management systems operate. While there is a plethora of quality management systems important legislation that is related, this standard only focusses on the few critical ones. Importantly, the learner also begins to appreciate how the legal aspect impacts on our personal understanding of the quality management system. Learners credited with this standard will be able to:
