UNDP-ChrisnelSA Electric Vehicle & Green Mobility Reskilling Programme

Are you an ex-mine worker, artisan, technician, TVET graduate or unemployed young person looking for a new career opportunity in the growing green economy?

ChrisnelSA, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is recruiting approximately 20 participants for a specialised Electric Vehicle (EV) and Green Mobility Reskilling Programme.

The programme provides practical skills in areas such as EV systems, high-voltage safety, battery technology, diagnostics, charging infrastructure and green mobility.

Who Should Apply?

Priority will be given to:

1. Ex-mine workers

2. TVET graduates

3. Artisans and technicians

4. Unemployed youth aged 18–35

5. People from Just Energy Transition (JET)-affected communities

6. Applicants from coal-affected communities in Mpumalanga

Women and applicants from underrepresented or vulnerable groups are encouraged to apply.

What Will You Gain?

Participants will receive practical, industry-focused training covering EV systems, high-voltage safety, battery technology, diagnostics, charging infrastructure and green mobility.

A stipend will be provided to selected participants during the programme.

The programme is designed to connect participants with potential opportunities across the EV, automotive, battery, charging, manufacturing and green energy sectors, as well as further training and enterprise opportunities.
